We went on a Disney Cruise and there was more fun and food then we could imagine. We got spoiled by all the food we could eat and try, along with being served hand and foot. Then we had to come home to the real world.

Happy Birthday to my baby boy!!! Conner turned 10 today and we celebrated at Chuck E. Cheese! The kids had lots of fun playing the games and trying to win as many tickets as possible so they could go over to the ticket counter and pick out a toy that costs $0.25- I love that!!! Really- though we had a blast. Conner got an i-touch from us so he is a happy boy! We love you Conner!

I, once again, forget that I have to update this blog. It would be so nice if it did it all by itself. Anyway, I have a funny Mother's Day story to tell you. A few weeks before Mother's Day, Paige found a folder full of pics. They are in the folder because I do not scrapbook and so I am waiting for them to scrapbook themselves! Paige asked me if she could use some of the pics- I said yes. On Mother's Day- I was given a purse made out of scrapbooking paper- so cute! There was a pic on the front of us as a family. When I opened the purse up it said, "Mom, even though I am growing up, I will still always be your little girl". At the bottom was 3 pics. One was a pic of my neice, Elizabeth at the age of around 18 months and then Paige at the age of 5 and then a pic of my other neice Azlin at the age of around 2 months. So I say, "Paige, why did you put Elizabeth and Azlin in here?" She says, "What, those aren't me?"
I laughed so hard. Isn't that the cutest thing ever? It seems like every Mother's Day I am given something with humor- couldn't get any better than that!!!

WOW! Paige turned 12 years old! I cannot believe it- she is now a young woman! We took her to Color Me Mine for her birthday party. It's on 25th street and you get to pick out your own pottery and then paint it. They even made a plate for her with her hand print and then each girl signed the back of the plate. They all had a blast! She graduated from Primary and start Young Womens this last Sunday. She earned her Faith in God award before leaving primary- congratulations, Paige! Boy does time go by fast! Before you know it, she'll be married and out of the house (not that were counting or anything :)

On Christmas Eve we went to the in-laws. Pam has a lot of different costumes the kids can dress up in. The adults were all sitting upstairs and we hear all of the kids laughing so hard- then up comes my baby boy! So cute! (he looks like Paige)

It is now the new year and goals should be made, but honestly I don't know what I want my "goals" to be. What I want is a wonderful year, full of fun and well behaved kids! I guess I should try to eat less sweets- but I don't see that happening! I really hope this year brings us happiness and health (wealth wouldn't be bad either)! May all of you have the kind of year that you hope for. Bring it on, 2010!

Wow did we get hit hard with a winter storm! It was great for packing- so the kids headed out to build. Paige made a small snow dog- the sticks are it's legs; Conner made the snowman and I love the Krispy Kreme hat on it!

We took the frontrunner this last Friday down to the Gateway to see "A Christmas Carol" with my family. Afterwards we went out to eat and then headed over to Temple Square to see the beautiful lights. It was a lot of fun!

I think I am doing so good at updating this blog and then I look to see that the last time was in Sept. I am just so busy!!! With the holidays coming so quickly- I am trying to get everything done. I am actually done with Christmas shopping- except for Brandon. He keeps changing his mind on what he wants- so I'll just be patient with him. I have got to be better at taking pics when I go places so I have something to show to you all. Well I will be back once I get some pics- see ya later! Stay tuned!

We had an end of the Summer BBQ-Fear factor party! It was a blast. Chatelains' and Putnams' came to join us. We did a blind worm find, eye ball in the jello and finding balloons in the trash which then had to be blown up. It is so nice to have such great friends to enjoy nights like this!

It is the first day back to school! Don't they just look sooo excited to return? Well, they may not be so happy to return, but Brandon and me are ecstatic! It was a nice summer and we had a lot of fun, but to get back into a routine is just wonderful. The kids got their hair cut and colored (thanks, Lisa) for school. Paige is in 6th grade this year and Conner is in 4th grade. They get to go to the new built school this year. It is huge and really nice for the kids. I took the day off to get them situated in their new classes. It is nice to have nothing to do! Well, hopefully the day goes well for them and they will love their teachers. That is always a plus!

River Rafting- Lunch Counter!

Summer Vacation in Jackson Hole!

For our summer vacation we decided to head to Jackson Hole. Rhett, Shantel, Kade and Ryker went with us. We rented a condo for the week up in Teton Village. It was absolutely beautiful! First night we went to Bar J Wranglers for dinner and a show. The next day we went river rafting. This was the first time either of our kids had gone and they had a blast! They were daring enough to sit in the front of the raft. Conner, Kade and Brandon got in for a nice swim which only lasted seconds when they realized how cold it was. We went on the bungee trampoline which really works your muscles- quite the ride! We also took the tram up to the top of the Tetons- truly :) beautiful! We spent a lot of time at the pool for the kids and so us adults could have some relax time. We spent a lot of money shopping, but that is what trips are for- right? One of the nights, we headed up to Teton National Forest and we spotted Elk, but no bears or moose- oh well. The trip was a blast and we didn't want to leave. On the other hand, we are truly glad to be home!

We decided to be spontaneous and head for a weekend in SLC. Not really, I forgot to plan anything for Memorial Weekend so I got on Expedia found a hotel with a pool, called Rhett and Shantel and to Salt Lake we headed. We went to Hogle Zoo. It rained, but we still had a blast. Here are some pics:

I know I am not the best blogger or even close to somewhat good- I just don't always find the time to get on and update! When I get home from work, I help the kids with their homework, fix dinner, clean up the house and then finally get to sit down to watch TV. I do have some favorite shows that I love to see- so Brandon has to watch the kids so that there is total silence when I watch! My favorite- Grey's Anatomy- I have not missed any episodes; American Idol- although I like Danny, I think Adam should win; Brothers & Sisters; Private Practice and Desperate Housewives. Brandon went to St. George on Sunday (mother's day) and won't be back until Wednesday- being a single mom really sucks! I don't know how women do it! It is not only physically draining, but emotional as well. Anyway, I did have a great mother's day! Conner made me a book from school. The first page was a fill in the blank that the kids had to complete. It said: My mom is 5'8" tall; my mom weighs 102 pounds (thanks Conner!); my mom has 2 eyes (instead of green) I laughed so hard. He asked me why I was laughing and I said, "honey, you should have written green". He says, "I thought it was a dumb question- everyone has 2 eyes! Well, it made my day. Isn't it fun getting homemade gifts from school? OK, well that seems to be enough for now- talk to you later!

We went to Goblin Valley, Arches and Moab over Easter weekend. We had a lot of fun! The weather was nice and the kids had a blast climbing all of the mountains. We played hide n' seek at Goblin Valley- it was a blast. We also went to Hole in the Rock while we were in Moab. It was a great getaway!

Paige and Conner decided they wanted to take Karate! So we think, well, maybe this will help them get their aggressions out and learn some self discipline. Well, I don't know about the discipline part so much, but they are doing awesome! I gave Brandon the assignment of picture taking so I could show you some pics and this is the best he could do so sorry! I had to help hit the kids so they could do their blocks and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed that!

It was my baby girl's 11th B-day! Can you believe Paige turned 11? We decided last year that on the even years they can have then big b-day parties with all of their friends, but on the odd years they get to take a friend to dinner and have a sleepover. We figured this would be a little less expensive. Unless, of course, your child is Paige, who picks Tepanyakis and we come out spending $85 for the night!! Oh well, that tends to be our life with Paige- nothing is the norm! We love her dearly though and can't believe how fast she is growing up. Here are some pics of dinner with her friend, Siria, and her opening her presents. Her b-day was on superbowl Sunday, which we also celebrated with grandma- thus the football cake!

We had a wonderful Christmas! The kids scored with a Wii and Nintendo DS. Paige also Gourment Cupcake, pixos, tini puppini, mall madness and a ton of other stuff to try to find a spot for in her overfilled room. Conner got the red robot, Tony Hawk skateboard, remote control car, star wars talking helmet and books which can fit in his room because he so gratefully got rid of some toys he no longers plays with before Christmas. Thank you Conner! Brandon got white walled tires for his Harley along with some more skull pieces for the bike that he bought himself. He also got a rainforest shower head, razor, clothes and SAR knife. I got Euphoria Calvin Klein perfume, oral B toothbrush, jewelry, clothes, foot massager and food storage items. It was nice to have the whole family for both families here together.

This Christmas was bitter sweet. My Grandma fell and broke her hip on the 23rd. She had surgery on the 24th and never woke up from that. She died on Christmas day. How sweet for her to beable to return to Grandpa on Christmas Day! We will miss her greatly, but know she is in the best place possible and we will see her some day again!

With the New Year coming this week, 2008 has been quite a ride. We went to Disneyland in April and the week we came back we moved into the new house. We still currently own our first house which sucks, but that's the way the ball rolls. Brandon and myself both received promotions which helps in owning 2 homes. The kids have grown up a lot this year. Conner got baptized in June. Paige had 2 seizures- not that fun for her or us! But she hasn't had anymore so hopefully won't have any in 2009 either. We look forward to 2009 and what our adventure will be. We are ready for the new ride!

WOW! Boy do we have some great news! (no we did not sell our house yet)- I was promoted to Nurse Manager of the Surgical Center! AND wait there's more- Brandon was made the commander over Search and Rescue! We're goin' take over the world :) HA HA HA!

Really- we are both on cloud nine right now and are very excited. Now we can afford to pay the two house payments and not be poor anymore! YEA for us!
